The CNJ created committee to review cases of judges who make money to give
lectures. The Folha de São Paulo reported that four ministers Trablaho Superior
Court Bradesco received the payments to lecture and continued judging claims
involving the financial institution. The Sao Paulo newspaper reports that the
minister João Batista Brito Pereira received R $ 161.8 mil for 12 lectures;
Minister Guilherme Caputo Bastos came over R $ 72,000 by 6 lectures, among
others.
The ministers said that in speeches, never tried to specific processes,
covering the bank. The study relates to the questioning of a deputy to the
president, Ricardo Lewandowski, in which denounces the close relationship of
judges with Bradesco surpasses hiring lectures. The advisor ombudsman and the
CNJ, Fabiano Silveira, ensure that the Constitution and the Organic Law of the
National Judiciary prevent judges from exercising positions in other areas,
except the judiciary.
